Data Mining

Baumann Cosmetic & Research Institute's proprietary database of skin type data has been collected from patients worldwide using the Baumann Skin Typing System. The database can be organized and mined for both unidentified skintype demographic data and specific skin type characteristics, providing pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical companies with targeted information for marketing, product research and development purposes. Licensing

The Baumann Skin Typing System developed by Dr. Leslie Baumann is available for licensing to retailers. This patent pending system is based on the fact that there are 16 unique Baumann Skin Types® that are determined by a scientifically validated questionnaire. These 16 skin types are derived by assessing and combining four major parameters: skin hydration, skin sensitivity, skin pigmentation and skin aging. This revolutionary skin typing system was unveiled in Dr. Baumann's New York Times bestselling book, "The Skin Type Solution" (Bantam Del, 2005) and will be featured in a PBS special called "Skin Type Solutions with Leslie Baumann MD", beginning in November, 2010.
