Botox Cosmetic and Dysport

Botox and Dysport are used for the treatment of frown lines, crow's feet, forehead wrinkles and neck folds. These products can also be used to reduce sweating of the underarms, hands and feet. Botox/Dysport is injected directly into a specific muscle and within 3-10 days, the muscle becomes temporarily relaxed. This allows the lines to gradually fade, and may help prevent further wrinkling of the skin. This treatment lasts three to five months. Dr. Baumann was involved in the clinical trials that led to the FDA approval of these products.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels help correct sun damage, flatten mild scarring and improve wrinkles and skin tone. Depending on the severity of the skin's defects and the skin type, light, medium or deep peels can be used. At the Institute, we offer 10 different peeling methods and always select the one best suited for your skin type. Some types of peels allow you to return to work immediately, whereas others require 7-10 days of healing time. Peels are performed every two weeks to six months, depending on the type of peel used. Certain types of peels can be used safely in darker skin types, but it is recommended that such patients see a skin of color specialist such as Dr. Woolery-Lloyd.

Cosmetic Podiatry

For decades, people have had to suffer the embarrassment of fungal toenails. Today, laser technology has been proven to be safe and effective for curing toenail fungus. At the Baumann Cosmetic and Research Institute, we feature a state-of-the-art laser that puts an end to toenail fungus for good – with absolutely no risk to you.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are substances that can be injected into the skin to "fill in" and improve the appearance of fine and deep lines, plump lips and ear lobes, fill out hollow cheeks and reduce the appearance of scars. The result is a smoother, more youthful appearance with minimal downtime and maximum safety. Several different fillers are often used together, and hyaluronic (HA) fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane can be used over large areas like the cheekbones and jaw lines to increase, enhance and improve facial volume, providing a more youthful appearance. These HA fillers can last anywhere from six months to a year, and are reversible with an injection of hyaluronidase. The goal of dermal fillers is to produce a natural rejuvenated look. Dr. Baumann was involved in many of the clinical trials that led to the FDA approval of these products.
