Paula Purpera, PA-C was born and raised in the Philippines and immigrated to New York City in her late teens. She served in the United States Air Force as a Medical Laboratory Journeyman from 2000-2004 and was recognized for her meritorious service. Prior to working as a PA, she worked as a Medical Technologist at the Cleveland Clinic Transfusion Medicine and Hematology Laboratory as well as a Cytogenetics Technologist at Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science at the University of Cincinnati in 2008 and her Master of Science and Physician Assistant degree at Cleveland State University/Tri-C PA Program in 2014.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Veterans Caucus of the AAPA, Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She also writes a lifestyle, fashion and beauty blog.

Amy Michaels is a board certified Physician Assistant who was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. She obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology before moving to Miami, FL to pursue her career in medicine. She graduated with her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and began her career in critical care as an intensive care PA. Throughout her early career, she maintained a passion for skin care with her lifestyle and wellness blog. Now, she works as a Dermatology Physician Assistant at Baumann Cosmetic and Research Institute where she loves to make women and men feel like their best selves with a particular interest in anti-aging and prevention. When she’s not busy with injectables and skin care she dedicates time to educating the public on skin health and wellness through the social media platform.
